Tom Weismann (aka Tomkat)
Beginning with a teaching grandmother versed in Hawaiian lap slide, Tom Weismann is a self-taught virtuoso of acoustic, slide, 12 string, and bass guitar. Influenced by Jeff Beck, Led Zeppelin, the Allman Brothers, and the blues-based originals of Fleetwood Mac, Tom's musical career has spanned over 25 years in the Tampa Bay Area.

In 1994, he put the TomKats together to further develop his unique style and natural talent. Tom is lead guitarist as well as lead vocalist with the band and is determined to make each performance fun!

Bob Paskowsky (aka Bobkat)
With his parents determined to provide their children with a classical background, Bob spent his formative years playing cello in orchestras and string ensembles in the Cleveland, Ohio area. He alternated between cello, string bass, tuba, and baritone horn, finally settling down with string bass and electric bass. He attended Santa Barbara City College and Cal State University.

Armed with an extensive background in jazz, blues, pop, and rock, the early 90's found Bob traveling with a national touring act, thumping Stevie Ray Vaughn tunes. Coming back to his roots, Bob has dusted off his string bass and joined forces with the TomKats to develop a unique style of blues, jazz, and R&B.

Paul Marks (aka Coolkat)
Paul began his professional career teaching drums and percussion at Prestons Music School at age seventeen. After gaining studio experience at Belmont College in Nashville, he went on to spend years touring most of the United States in numerous show bands. Paul has concert, recording and Cruise Line experience. Technically proficient and well versed in all styles, Paul's approach to the drum set is musically oriented, with emphasis placed on songwriting and the overall sound of the band.

The TomKats also host a fun and popular weekly blues jam, held every Sunday afternoon from 2 pm to 6 pm, at the famous Swigwam Beach Bar - a hidden treasure reminiscent of rapidly vanishing old timey tiki bar Florida beach life - on St. Petersburg Beach, Florida.

Directions: Less than 2 miles north of the world-renowned Don Cesar Hotel, you'll find the Swigwam tucked away behind the Travelodge (and Shell's Restaurant) at 6300 Gulf Blvd. For best parking take the driveway immediately to the north of Shell's and go straight back to the beach.  Find the Swigwam in Google Maps.
